Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Pizza

April 1, 2009

For those of you who already made some caramelized onion, here’s a caramelized onion and goat cheese pizza recipe, just like those you find in Provence.

  1. Brush the pizza dough with Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
  2. Top with caramelized onion, goat cheese, chopped Kalamata olives and grated Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese.  Season with salt and pepper.  Optional: add some anchovies and minced garlic.
  3. Bake at 400 – 425F until the dough turns golden brown and crisp.

Nice idea :) your website looks pretty good, you should try writing an article or recipe for a Goat Meat meal, because goat meat is very healthy.

Hi Vladimir,
Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately, goat meat is difficult to get in the US (vs. goat cheese which you can get virtually anywhere), plus not the most popular. I personally never cook or order goat dish. If you have any goat meat recipes that’s easy to prepare, I’ll be happy to share with my readers though.
