hi! I saw someone making these at the Ballard Farmer's market in Seattle, that would be awesome to own and make these.
I see you posted this over a year ago, how often do you use the pan these days? any idea where I can get one in the Seattle area?
thx!

Thank you for your comment, Colleen!
Skivers are great during Christmas, and as christmas gift. Your grandchildren will have so much fun! I brought last year from San Francisco to Milwaukee so that we could have fun with our niece and nephew.

The giveaway is over, but you can get the pan from AuntElse@gmail.com. Pls mention you saw my post & the call -- Chad (our Skiver Santa) will be happy to hear from you.

I saw this chance to win on Belinda Jensens show on KARE 11.

I would like to have one of these pans to have fun with my grandchildren at breakfast. We have done things like crepe's etc. They always ask for things again.

Since I have 14 grandcildren and 3 great grandchildren I think it would keep me busy at Christmas making skivers. Do you think I could keep up. Ha!

(continued from above)

And just to elaborate on that idea, I'd like to include people of different cultural regions in creating them together. I'd research & ask them about certain ingredients/dishes that are representative of their food. Then possibly bring a portable gas stove (around the city?) to prepare, create, and taste-test those ingredients together, while documenting & photographing the process.

Hopefully it will bring about an even wider awareness of this yummy treat, and would be a great opportunity to meet people.

For example, one week it can be different Korean fillings (such as kimchi, etc.), another week, Polish, then, Turkish, Kenyan, Dominican, Indian, etc. the possibilities are endless. And even try American classics & U.S. regional (Cajun, New England, etc.), and OF COURSE the traditional Danish way can be among the fillings enjoyed.

I'd like to try this idea very much. I'm really excited! Thanks again. :) -irene

Dear Skiver Santa,

I live in New York City, which is considered a melting pot of cultures. I'd like to try using different ethnic food ingredients (savory & sweet!), and include them in these aebleskivers, which also seem like a little melting pots of deliciousness.

I'd share about the different trials on my food blog, which I have been trying to be more consistent about. And of course, I'd share about it on the hosts' sites as well.

Thanks for just the opportunity to learn about them! -irene

Dear Skiver Santa,
Fillings I would like to try:

3) For Dessert, I might like to try a single chocolate chip and mini marshmallow

Thanks Again,

Dear Skiver Santa,
Fillings I would like to try:

(2) Maybe some tender beef and a slice of sauteed mushroom (I'd call it a mini beef wellington)

Thanks Again,
KCatGU

Dear Skiver Santa,
Fillings I would like to try:

(1) Ham and Brie, because you can never go wrong with a classic

I think it would be great to have this specialty pan because because our group of friends is getting back to basics and doing more at home themed dinners then heading out to more expensive establishments. We have had a fondue night, chili bar, make your own pizza, and it would be just as fun to have an Æbleskiver night.

Thanks Mari for the review and contest.

Thank you everyone for the comments!

If you want to increase the chance of winning,
1. Write to Skiver Santa (as a comment on this post)
2. post your ideas on what to use the pan for, and what filling you'd like to try. Break them up and leave as many comments as you want.

What to use the pan for: http://wp.me/ptOaj-kt
What fillings to try: http://wp.me/ptOaj-kz

Good luck!
